The pageant encourages personal growth and sisterhood among its contestants, providing character-building opportunities through charity and volunteer work and networking.
Mykaela, 18, said she entered the pageant to promote self-worth, inner strength, confidence and determination to women and children.
“It is my mission to encourage young ladies to be the best possible version of themselves that they can be by promoting inner beauty and being a positive role model to those around me,” she said.
Mykaela has represented the community as a grid girl at the Cessnock Mitsubishi Postie Bike Grand Prix and as an entrant in the Miss Cessnock City Quest in 2017.
She is also a volunteer with the Cessnock District Rescue Squad.
She is proud to be supporting Miss Australia Global International’s official charities, Irukandji Shark and Ray Centre and the Epilepsy Foundation, through her involvement at the pageant.
Keep an eye out for Mykaela at upcoming local events including the Australian 4-Day Enduro in Cessnock and Hunter Valley Steamfest in Maitland.
The national final will be held at Wests New Lambton on April 20.
