Club president Darrell Wilkinson said the club was thrilled to welcome Greater Bank as a major sponsor and it not only alleviated financial pressure but demonstrated the organisations commitment to supporting the community.
“While we couldn’t have got to where we are today without the help of our local supporters, having Greater Bank join our partnership ranks is a massive feather in the cap for our club and removes a significant amount of financial pressure,” Wilkinson said..
“The funding support offered by Greater Bank will go directly back into the club to cover overheads, ground maintenance, team uniforms and the purchase of new equipment for our volunteers and players.”

Greater Bank’s Cessnock branch manager, James Warren, welcomes the new partnership with the Goannas and looks forward to sharing their success in 2018.
“The Goannas have been part of the fabric here in Cessnock for more than 100 years and has produced some legends of rugby league. We are proud to be a part of the club’s future by continuing to support the game and helping to make it as affordable as possible for members,” Warren said.
“As a community bank, our charter is to support the region that supports us and we feel honoured to have our branding alongside the Goanna’s club emblem. We wish all the teams, as well as Darrell and the club’s committed volunteers, every success in 2018.”
