Cessnock City Council marked the completion of two information bays at Jeffrey Park, Kearsley and Lovedale Road on Friday.
The projects were funded by the NSW Government’s Restart NSW Grant program.
The Kearsley project also included the construction of an amenities block, parking improvements and upgrades to the park facilities.
Cessnock mayor Bob Pynsent said the signs look fantastic and will no doubt be welcomed by tourists.
“The information bays not only look great but they provide visitors with extremely valuable information about the experiences on offer in the Hunter Valley Wine Country,” he said.
“Council have worked hard with local business to design the map and showcase our tourism industry,” Mayor Pynsent said.
Four more information bays will be installed at prominent locations across the LGA, with works at Marrowbone Road/Oakey Creek Road and Hermitage Road/Broke Road already underway.
