The Westpac Rescue Helicopter is transporting two men to John Hunter Hospital after a motor vehicle accident at Wollombi earlier today.
A spokesperson for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service said the car the men were travelling in impacted a tree near Wollombi.
A man, aged 29, sustained neck and feet injuries from the crash. The other man, also 29, is being transported to hospital as precautionary measure.
The men are being taken to the John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
Cessnock District Rescue Squad volunteers assisted at the scene.

Paramedics are responding to reports of a car that crashed into a fence at Wollombi on Friday.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the crash was reportedly caused after a kangaroo jumped out in front of the vehicle on Paynes Crossing Road, near Wollombi Road.
The spokesperson said three people were involved in the crash, and the driver was reportedly in and out of consciousness.
Two road crews are on scene, and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter has been called to the location.
