In The Clear NRL Podcast co-host Chris Boulous thinks the Penrith Panthers have got it wrong sacking Anthony Griffin just four weeks out from the finals.
“No good can come out of it. There is not enough time to change the way they play, so it is essentially a Griffin-structured team without him in the chair,” Boulous said.
“Sacking Griffin won’t fix their defence which is their main obstacle in contending for the title. What if they do win the comp this year? Is Griffin all of a sudden a good coach because he set the structure in place.”
Southern Highland News journalist Lauren Strode joined the podcast this week for Women In League round and praised the Wests Tigers decision for not letting go of coach Ivan Cleary without a fight.
“I wouldn’t be letting him go to join his son Nathan. If anything, Nathan should join the Tigers,” she said.
Also on this week’s show group digital journalist Mitch Vleeskens joins the show to preview round 22 with the Cowboys the popular pick to cause an upset against Broncos.
