The glitch has affected a string of Coles outlets nationwide including in capital cities and regional areas. 

The outage has affected some but not all outlets. Some stores had reopened before 10am others were open early, but closed again later. 

“We apologise. This store is currently closed due to circumstances beyond our control," read a sign outside one Coles store. 

"We are working to resolve the issue and will re-open as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
