The paws will be out in full force at the Greta Arts and Sports Community Hall on Saturday 1 September when the Branxton Wine Country Cat Club’s championship show decides which local feline will be crowned this year’s “Top Cat.”
More common breeds such as Burmese, Siamese and Persian will be displayed with more exotic varieties such as Norwegian Forest, Snowshoes, Bengals and Selkirk Rexes.
Club president Deidre Slacke said that, along with some fierce competition, revelers would also have the chance to educate themselves on all aspects of cats
“The judges will inform those watching the good points of the cats and kittens being judged,” she said.
“The owners and breeders will be too happy to talk about their exhibits.”
There will also be an array of cat product stalls.
The show will be on from 10.30am to 4pm. Admission is $2 or $5 per family.
