Baddeley Park was fit to burst on Saturday when Cessnock United Football club held thair annual presentation day.
Despite rain clouds looming overhead for most of the day, the presentation went off without a hitch.
“It all went according to plan and most importantly, it didn’t rain,” club secretary Ann Skinner said.
Given the size of the club, 360 players including seniors, there were certainly no shortage of trophies to give out on the day, including Under-15/1 player Michael Rowsell who picked up a life membership for 10 year’s service and Dave Coleman, who took home the Club Coach of the Year trophy for imparting his knowledge to the Under-11/2 and Under-7/1 sides.
And it wasn’t just trophies on offer, with the club putting on an array of rides, slides and amusements to make it a great day out for the whole family.
There was also no shortage of hungry mouths to feed with Ann adding that more than 400 sausages were consumed on the day.
East Cessnock Bowling Club mascots Clarry the Comet, Miss Kitty, Tiger and Dog, were also on site to keep the kids entertained.
