Morris returned to the Bears in 2018 after a season playing with Lambton Jaffas and his experience had a marked impact on the young Weston squad.
Along with fellow veteran Josh Maguire and the development of talented youngsters the Bears rose from two successive wooden spoons to finish ninth with six wins and two draws.
Morris also received the John Wolinski Memorial award as the Supporters Club most consistent first grader.
Maguire was rewarded with the coaches award for first grade and Chris Hurley took his game to a new level this season winning the players’ player and most improved awards.
Winners of other key club award winners on the night included Cessnock Advertiser Player of the Year Max Foster.
Regan Fitzpatrick who won the Ken Sander Memorial award as the club’s leading goal scorer.
Damon Cousins won the Claw Bear Golden Glove award the keeper to concede the fewest goals.
Darren Lewsam and Mark Lathan shared the Neville Ridley Club Person of the Year, Angus Lathan received the Alan Cooper Youth Achievement award and Sam Bidstrup earned the Jack Turnbull Memorial Encouragement award.
There was a real sense of excitement at the presentation night as the club continued to confirm key re-signings and the return of former stars back to the club for the 2019 season under new coach Kew Jaliens.
Robbie Turnbull is the latest to return home to Weston along with 2014 NNSW Rookie of the year Zac Sneddon who had been on a college soccer scholarship in the US.
The club also announced Jackson Burston, Jordan Jackson, Regan Lundy and Liam O'Reilly had re-signed joining Cooper Buswell, Max Foster, Chris Hurley and Angus Lathan.
The Bears also signed Craig Stoker as first grade assistant to Jaliens.
