The Roosters got off to a flying start with three goals in the first 15 minutes with Mitch Hunter grabbing his seventh goal in three games while captain Sam Walker struck twice including a contender for goal of the tournament with a 30-metre chip.
The youthful Weston side hit back through Jamie Subat before the break to hold a slim chance of a comeback, however it wasn't to be, with the in-form Lake Macquarie scoring another two goals through Jack Diebold and Tyson Cummings to post an impressive 5-1 victory.
Lake Macquarie coach Nick Webb said his side is on a roll.
"We put the cue in the rack after going 3-0 up, but momentum is what we're looking for and the winning mentality is strong," he said.
The Bears couldn't replicate their 2018 title-winning success in the same competition although assistant coach Chris Atkins said the tournament had provided a great experience for Weston’s younger players.
"The club and first team coach, Kew Jaliens, should be praised for having faith in such a young squad and it has helped the Under 20s' and Under 18s' preparation for the coming season hugely," Atkins said.
Edgeworth Eagles defeated West Wallsend 4-0 in the other semi final. They will meet Lake Macquarie in the Heritage Cup final at Weston's Rockwell Automation Park on Saturday.
Weston play West Wallsend in the play-off for third from 5pm.
