Featuring fantastic funny-makers from Australia and beyond, the Roadshow travels across 88 Australian towns, and will arrive in Cessnock on Thursday, June 6 for one hilarious night only.

Irish born Melbourne based comic Dave Callen, best known for his roles on Rove Live and Triple J, will be the MC for the night.

Over the years he has popped up on Good News Week, Hey Hey its Saturday, and Spicks and Specks.

Dave will be joined on stage by the rambunctious ramblings of Cal Wilson.

Cal came across the Tasman in 2003 and has gone on to become one of our most popular comedians, a perennial favourite on television shows such as Spicks and Specks, Thank God You're Here.

And more recently she has appeared on Have You Been Paying Attention? and Hughesy We Have a Problem.

Sean Choolburra will also be coming to Cessnock with the Roadshow this year.

After winning the NSW RAW Comedy Final in 2002, Sean headlined the Dreaming Festival 2005-2008, and has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Scottish Storytelling Festival and the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

He's appeared on the NRL Footy Show, Thank God You're Here and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala, and has hosted and recently performed at Deadly Funny in Melbourne, Adelaide & Perth.

Blake Freeman is one of Australia's brightest new comedians, making a name for himself with his own brand of energetic and disarmingly honest comedy.

In 2018 he was hand-picked for Melbourne International Comedy Festival's prestigious Comedy Zone and has written for television, toured nationally and hosted his own radio show.

At this year's festival he won the Best Newcomer Award, awarded to a solo performer or group of performers doing their first Festival show - Blake is definitely a star on the rise!

Rounding out this year's Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow line-up is Daniel Connell. His observational, dry, often unanticipated comedy has seen him take to stages all over the country.

Daniel first launched himself into the comedy world in the 2009 emerging comedian competition 'Green Faces', winning the Canberra heat and placing third in the national final.

Last year's event was a sell-out success, and tickets for this year's night of laughs are already selling fast.
