CESSNOCK'S own Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service Support Group has teed up a charity golf day, in a bid to raise funds for the lifesaving service.

The fundraising day on the green will be held at Hunter Valley Golf Club, Crowne Plaza on Friday, June 21.
The cost is $75 per person and includes the game, a buggy and lunch.
The format will be a four person ambrose with proceeds going to assist the service.
Member Ken Springbett said the group hoped to attract a solid crowd for such a good cause.
"The rescue helicopter service provides a lifesaving service to the people in our community and depend on the wonderful generosity of the public to continue," he said.
"Thanks to generous sponsors there will be some great prizes along with a raffle with first prize of a Westpac Helicopter Rescue Service bar fridge.
"Hunter Valley Golf Club has been very supportive of the group's efforts to raise funds for the service.
"The support group hopes there will be a great crowd of golfers to support this cause."
