Wines from more than 50 of the Hunter Valley's best-known and boutique wineries will be available for tasting at the festival.
There is a range of new attractions this year including interactive 'Expressions' sessions featuring organic wine and cheese matching, as well as a beer and cider session.
A feature this year will be the diversity of wine styles on offer.
While the Hunter Valley is best regarded for its riesling, semillon, chardonnay and shiraz varietals, this year will see a far wider spectrum including verdelho, tempranillo and sangiovese as well as sparkling and rose styles.
Entertainment will be offered by Jarrod Sherman and David D'Souza, and a wide selection of food stalls will operate.
Children receive complimentary entry to the festival, where they will enjoy a variety of activities including a jumping castle, train rides, carousel, mini car rides and face painting.
Once again, the festival will support the local Rural Fire Service, with fundraising activities on the day.
Presale tickets for the festival are available for $15 online (plus booking fee) and $22 at the door. Tickets include entry, five tasting tickets and a tasting glass.
The event runs 11am - 5pm. for bookings and further information visit: www.huntervalleywinefestival.com.
