Eight local stars have been gearing up to perform at the gala event at Cessnock Performing Arts Centre.
Cancer Council NSW Upper Hunter community relations coordinator Clint Ekert said the stars were on track to smash the planned target of $60,000 in front of a crowd about 300 people.
Funds raised from the event will support local services across the region and state, such as transport to treatment, financial assistance, legal advice and research.
"We all know someone that has been affected and our stars are doing their best to help in our mission towards a cancer free future," Mr Ekert said.
Last week, the Advertiser spoke to award-winning singer Tara Naysmith, speaker and emcee Anthony Burke and the Advertiser's very own Krystal Sellars about their preparations for the event.
They will perform alongside Singleton Council general manager Jason Linnane, Criterion Hotel Singleton publican Damian Silk, Reading Cinemas manager Yvette Cavanagh, Bengalla Mining Company business intern Beth Walsh and Jacob Hafey of Jacob Hafey Constructions.
The eight stars have been practicing up to three times a week with dancers from local dance schools to perfect their routines.
General admission tickets are still available for the gala event, while there is also an auction online for limited edition bottles of wine, experiences and more. All donations made online are tax deductible.
