Leesa, a chartered accountant has over 15 years experience in her current role and has also worked as a management accountant with extensive experience in both the winery and manufacturing industries. Leesa will be assisting small businesses and individual clients.
Simone Palfreyman, Principal, said growing demand from local businesses looking for a trusted adviser, sparked the expansion.
"Over the last 3 years, we've found that many businesses are looking for someone who understands the need for better customer service and quality advice.
"We have a strong ethical approach to business and have structured our services to provide the best for our clients. The awards we've received highlight that.
"Our mission is to work with clients to achieve their goals, educating and providing timely advice, so that they can succeed. We are delighted to have Leesa join us and help us to do that."
Palfreyman provide a holistic advice service with business, taxation, software, IT and financial planning. Services include; business structure advice and setup, mentoring, performance reviews, taxation advice, preparation of financial statements, BAS and tax returns, software setup, training and assistance, bookkeeping services and financial advice via its sister company Palfreyman Wealth.
With the new financial year upon us, Simone says it is important that businesses are planning for the future and have a clear understanding of their tax obligations for 2019 and their performance.
"Without having up-to-date financial information, it is extremely difficult to plan. Successful businesses monitor their performance regularly, at a minimum every 3 months and constantly update their business, marketing and service plans."
With a number of changes effecting small business from July 1, now is the time that small business owners need to turn their attention to their financial health and reporting obligations.
"The Single Touch Payroll requirements mean that most small businesses will need to report all of their wage information electronically to the Australian Taxation Office. There also major changes for cash payments to employees/contractors.
Palfreyman offer a complimentary meeting to new clients in order to discuss their issues. From there a review of the business is conducted.
"We pride ourselves on being trusted advisers and see it as a privilege to be able to work with our clients to achieve their dreams."
