The Cessnock lodge donated 40 new footballs to Cessnock Junior Rugby League, Cessnock Rugby Union and Pokolbin Rugby clubs as a part of their ongoing community support program.
The aim of the program is to deliver meaningful items or assets to community groups, schools and sporting teams.
"Freemasons Cessnock appreciates the importance of community, we are a part of the same local community," Worshipful Master Max Katz-Barber said. "Helping what are essentially volunteer organisations should be a small part of everyone's lives."
The equipment was delivered to the clubs on June 20.
Meanwhile, Mr Katz-Barber became the 86th worshipful master of the Cessnock Lodge when he was handed over the reins from Bryce Gibson in May.
