The free workshops are designed to help seniors, and the wider community, to be connected in the digital age.
The workshops include Absolute Basics (September 6), Getting to Know Your Device (September 20), Getting Started Online (October 4), Online Hobbies (October 18), More Online Skills (November 1) and Connecting to Others (November 15).
All workshops will run from 10am to 12pm.
Cessnock City Council's library services coordinator, Rose-marie Walters encourages local seniors and the wider community to take advantage of these wonderful opportunities.
"It's about teaching you that technology isn't terrifying or to be avoided, rather it can be an incredibly useful tool when you have the skills to get the most out your device."
Bookings are essential and can be done online at libraries.cessnock.nsw.gov.au, through the event listing on Cessnock City Library's Facebook page or by calling Cessnock Library on 4993 4399 or Kurri Kurri Library on 4937 1638.
