The $60 million, 248-lot housing estate off West Street, Greta is being developed by Iris Capital, and was launched in March 2018.
Singleton couple and first homebuyers James Ferguson and Casey Noud were the 100th purchasers, and say the location was a key factor in their decision to buy at Wyndham Ridge.
"We are looking forward to moving into Greta because it is still close enough to work but the main idea is that we are closer to everything the valley has to offer and believe it will help give us more of a balanced lifestyle," James said.
"We were originally looking at existing homes in Singleton, but for our budget they needed a lot of work," Casey said.
"So we started looking for land and had gone to other estates but didn't like the smaller lots and feel."
Three of James's workmates had bought land at Wyndham Ridge, so they went for a drive to check it out.
"We looked at some of the larger lots here, but because it is our first time doing this, we bought a 600m2 benched and retained lot to take the guess work out," James said.
"We wanted a cul-de-sac, and the lot we bought mirrors exactly where we currently live and love."
The couple advises other first homebuyers to take their time and be patient.
"Don't feel pressured to make a decision," James said.
"We used a mortgage broker which we found really helpful, and we were told to find the land first and then match the home," Casey added.
"We started 12 months ago and have now found the perfect home."
To celebrate being the estate's 100th buyer, Iris Capital and the team at Wyndham Ridge gifted James and Casey a wine tasting experience at the award-winning Hungerford Hill winery and restaurant, with flowers and a gift hamper including a selection of sweet treats and wine from Dalwood Estate.
Iris Capital owns Hungerford Hill and Dalwood Estate, as well as Peden's Hotel in Cessnock, and a number of Sydney and Newcastle properties.
