The evening workshop will offer practical advice for parents, grandparents, neighbours and friends who are involved in teaching a learner driver.
Topics will include understanding current laws that apply to L and P licence holders, completing the learner driver log book, understanding the benefits of supervised on-road driving experience, supervising learner drivers and low risk driving.
Cessnock mayor Bob Pynsent said it's an opportunity to minimise the stress that comes with teaching someone how to drive.
"These workshops are excellent for those teaching learner drivers. Common questions get answered and people get a better understanding of how best to ensure a learner driver is able to successfully obtain their license," Cr Pynsent said.
The workshop will run from 6pm to 8pm. Places are limited, so bookings are essential on 4993 4338.
