The Kurri Kurri centre - which has 1200 swim school members - was named as a finalist in the Swim School of the Year category at the National Belgravia Leisure Awards in July.
The Swim School of the Year Award was judged based on a number of elements, which reflect the centre's ability to connect the community of Kurri Kurri and surrounds to leisure.
Kurri Kurri Aquatic and Fitness Centre manager Kate Grigor said the centre was proud to be acknowledged as a finalist at the awards, which were chosen from Belgravia Leisure's 180-plus facilities across Australia and New Zealand.
"Being recognised for this award has been the cherry on top result, as we also received our Five Star Royal Life Saving Society Australia Audit with a result of 98 percent this past summer, which put our facility as one of the top sites in NSW," Ms Grigor said.
"This is a reflection of the dedication and passion our team members show towards our facility and members."
Kurri Kurri Aquatic and Fitness Centre has just begun its fifth year of being managed by Belgravia Leisure, and has recently had the management contract renewed for another five years.
