Held during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Pink Up Your Town raises funds to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses wherever they're needed most.
With more than 18,000 people diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia this year, over 100 additional nurses are needed to meet the growing rates.
Pink Up Your Town raised $300,000 in 2018, with 30 towns going pink for the cause.
Cessnock is taking part for the first time this year, with a number of local businesses, schools and GP clinics coming on board with pink-themed fund-raising and awareness-raising events.
If you'd like to hold a fundraiser or help the committee, find 'Cessnock Pink Up Your Town' on Facebook.
