Huntlee is lending a helping hand to Hunter Animal Rescue with its second annual Pets in the Park fundraiser this Sunday.
The event will be held from 11am to 2pm in the park outside the Huntlee Land Sales Centre on Triton Boulevard.
The team from Hunter Animal Rescue will be bringing along some of their cats and dogs who are looking for their forever home, so Huntlee residents can see if they can find a furry friend to complete their new family home.
Competitions will also be held such as best trick, best dressed, waggiest tail, biggest and smallest pet, and the pet who looks most like their owner.
And for your two-legged family members, there will be a free jumping castle, and airbrush tattoos and face painting for a gold coin donation.
Guests are invited to bring along a donation of pet food and other pet supplies (including blankets) to help Hunter Animal Rescue take care of their adoptees.
The Huntlee Café will be open throughout the event, selling delicious treats for the humans and "pupappuccinos" for the furry members of their family; and Hunter Animal Rescue volunteers will be running a hot dog stand.
