Cessnock City councillors vote for a deputy mayor every 12 months. The vote took place at Wednesday night's council meeting.
Cr Dagg was elected unopposed for another 12 months in the role, and thanked councillors for their support.
"I have genuinely enjoyed the position and am thankful for the support of my colleagues," she said.
"I will continue to work hard as deputy mayor for the residents of this special local government area, which I care so much about.
"I'm committed to listening to our community and fighting to ensure their voice is heard at a local, state and federal level."
Cr Dagg grew up in Cessnock, attending Cessnock West Public School, Mount View High School and later St Mary's in Maitland, and is currently studying law by correspondence.
She now lives in Branxton with her husband Josh and their daughters Amelia and Eliza.
Cr Dagg was elected to Cessnock City Council in 2016 and serves as a member of the Cultural Facilities Committee, Hunter Water Consultative Committee and the Association of Mining and Energy Related Councils.
Cessnock mayor Bob Pynsent congratulated Cr Dagg on her re-election as deputy mayor.
"During Cr Dagg's first term as deputy mayor she demonstrated commitment to the community and has done an outstanding job at representing council," he said.
"Cr Dagg is a wonderful and passionate advocate for our community and I know she will continue this hard work during her second term.
"It was clear Cr Dagg has done an exceptional job receiving unanimous support from her fellow councillors."
