Key defender Davis said he pulled up well after suffering finger, shoulder and back knocks in Saturday's preliminary final win over Collingwood and didn't anticipate any dramas about being fit for the decider.

After finishing sixth, GWS have won three-consecutive knockout games to reach a first grand final in their eighth season.

The Giants have won successive nailbiters away to Brisbane and Collingwood by three and four points respectively and had to absorb tremendous pressure in the final quarter of both games.

"We're just so hell bent on winning this Saturday, we understand it's going to be an enormous challenge, but I think it's going to be a monumental occasion for the footy club," Davis said.

"I think there's no doubt that trying to win four big finals in a row is a challenge, but it's one we've been up for.

"A lot of people didn't think we'd get past the first week (against the Western Bulldogs) but we seem to be playing some pretty good football.

"In the last nine weeks, we've won four games by a goal or less which I think holds you in really good stead.

"One thing I know about my group is we're really hungry and it's exciting to be part of that.

"Whatever the match throws at us on Saturday, I think we'll have plenty in the tank to chase until the last second."

He expected that would particularly be the case for talismanic forward Toby Greene, returning on Saturday after a one-game suspension.

"He was so heavily invested last night and helped especially the forward line throughout the game," Davis said.

"The relief on his face was enormous and I wouldn't want to be marking him this weekend because he'll have a fair bit left in the tank."

Davis said Stephen Coniglio and Lachie Whitfeild were confident of returning from injury, but acknowledged the GWS match committee faced some tough decisions.

Tall utility Lachie Keeffe replaced Greene and had an outstanding game down back.

"He is the ultimate clubman. I think there's still space in the side for him," Davis said of Keeffe.

"With Greene and Whitfield to come back in and maybe Coniglio as well, there will be some tough calls made and we have full faith in our match committee to make the right calls."
