He has released three albums, performed around Australia and the world, and has even released a children's book.
On his national tour last year, Craig performed a few Sir Elton John songs that were so well-received, he decided to dedicate a whole concept show to the Rocketman himself.
That show - titled Elton John Love Songs - The Piano Sessions - will come to Cessnock Performing Arts Centre on Friday, October 18 as part of a 18-date national tour.
"On my last tour I performed a couple of his tunes, and they went down really well, so I thought there was a moment here to seize, and take it on the road," Craig said.
The timing of the idea couldn't have been any better - just weeks later, Elton John announced he would be bringing his farewell tour to Australia, and a few months after that, the acclaimed biopic Rocketman was released in cinemas.
This show is a delicately curated set of love ballads the likes of Can You Feel The Love Tonight, Candle In The Wind, Sacrifice and more, all performed with Craig's trademark rich vocal tones and accompanied by piano.
"It's a show about the love of the music - he has written and performed some incredible songs," Craig said, singling out Candle in the Wind as an example of what it means to "truly write with your heart".
The show will also feature a selection of Craig's own hits, including his latest single Even If You Say So.
Craig has worked with the likes of Seal, David Foster, Baz Luhrmann, Diane Warren, Barry Gibb and Olivia Newton-John, and has performed as far away as Korea and Canada.
He says likes performing in regional areas like Cessnock because each town is unique, and the audience has a lot of community spirit.
"It feels like family, it's quite a relaxing feeling," he said.
His show will start at 8pm. Tickets are available at the CPAC box office, by phoning 4993 4266 or online at cessnockperformingartscentre.com.au.
