Much-loved local event Dine 4 Charity will return to Cessnock for one last hurrah on Saturday, November 2.
The event, which was held annually from 2013 to 2017, has raised more than $100,000 for local cancer charities.
It became a must-attend event on Cessnock's social calendar, with an average crowd of 200.
Organiser Anthony Burke said this will be the final Dine 4 Charity event in this format, but he hopes to run a new event in the future.
Dine 4 Charity started in 2013, when Anthony and his friend Jo O'Malley decided to skydive in honour of family and friends battling cancer.
Since then, he and co-organiser Clint Ekert have created many nights of entertainment, laughter and raisng funds for local charities.
The 2019 edition will once again be held at Cessnock Leagues Club, featuring crowd favourites Wayne Rogers (of Australia's Got Talent fame), magician Joel 'JD' Howlett and local singer Michael King - and a few surprises, too.
"It has been amazing to have the support from family, friends and the community since 2013 and being able to raise over $100,000 during that time," Anthony said.
"I am excited that after a couple of years we can bring Dine 4 Charity back for one last show.
"I would love to see as many people as we can at the dinner to celebrate what we have achieved together through this event over time."
Funds raised at Dine 4 Charity 2019 will go to Cancer Council NSW via Cessnock Relay For Life (which will be held on Sunday, November 10).
It will support the transport-to-treatment program, which ensures local cancer patients access to transport to their medical appointments.
"It's stressful enough with their cancer journey, so this program and take away a little relief for them and their families," Anthony said.
Anthony thanked Concrete Blonde Hair Studio, John Lodge Water Cartage and Cessnock Leagues Club for supporting Dine 4 Charity every year since its inception.
Tickets are $65 per person, including a three-course meal, and are now available at outix.net.
