After more than 25 years of learning and fun together, age and ill health made it impossible to get enough members to form a committee.
"Out outings, wonderful speakers and dinners together will be missed, but our delightful group of ladies will meet monthly for a meal and to catch up on events," president Beverley Wakeling said.
"We thank Cessnock Ex-Services Club for their constant support of our organisation throughout those years and wish them success in all their endeavours.
"We also take this opportunity to thanks The Advertiser who have been an important part of promoting our club, as they do for others in our wonderful community.
"We are delighted to be able to present the State Emergency Service with $1000, with grateful thanks for all they do."
