Branxton-Greta Men's Shed has received a kind donation from Greta Guardian Compounding Pharmacy through the Caring 4 Community competition.

A national competition run by Guardian pharmacies as a way to give back to the local community, it offers prizes based on the sales of two specific product per month.

"The competition relies on support from locals through sales of these products which allows for as many entries into the draw as possible," pharmacist Philip Smith said.

Greta Pharmacy won second prize, $250, in August, which they donated to the men's shed.

Men's shed president Kevin Bell said they were "very pleased" that the pharmacy thought of them as a recipient, and that the money would go towards their fundraising for a new, purpose-built shed.

The pharmacy is hoping to support a different local group every month, and encourages local organisations who could benefit from a cash donation to get in touch on 4938 7030.
