Night works will be undertaken later this month to clean and seal the new pavers, which will be conducted between 8pm and 5am over two nights.
Affected residents and business owners will receive notification of these works prior to their commencement.
During this time, there will be no vehicle access through Cooper Street, between Keene Street and Vincent Street or through Charlton Street, between the Coles and Woolworths carparks. Detours will be in place and the road will be reopened each morning back to normal traffic flows.
Once the paving is complete, crews will start line marking and installing signage to reinstate the roundabout in preparation for the official opening, which is expected to take place mid-November (weather permitting).

Cessnock City Council would like to thank residents and businesses for their patience throughout the works, which form an important part of the Cessnock CBD Revitalisation project.
Council's infrastructure manager Katrina Kerr said she is looking forward to seeing the community using and enjoying this revitalised area in our CBD.
"Once completed, residents will be able to enjoy a new raised road pavement which will improve pedestrian amenity, along with additional seating and greenery to improve the streetscape," Ms Kerr said.
The Cessnock CBD Revitalisation project also includes the Bridges Hill Park project and access improvement upgrades, and has been funded through federal and state government grant programs.
