With well over 1100 nomination for this years' awards, covering 390 individuals and 49 teams across 187 businesses, the awards, an initiative of Cessnock Chamber of Commerce, continue to grow year on year, giving nod to the quality enterprises that operate in the Cessnock community.
Chamber President, Clint Ekert said this year was yet again another stand out for the event.
"I was really pleased with the level of entries this year, we read through every nomination, every question answered and we also know these people from within our community.
"The examples given step up year after year and it's so pleasing that our organisation can be the one to highlight these customer service superstars In our region." He said.
Categories include trade, professional, community service, retail, hospitality, team and business owner, with winners and highly commended awards presented in each section, and an overall winner selected from the category winners.
It's a tough job for the judges with the quality of entries raising the bar year on year. Ekert went on to acknowledge everyone involved in the awards, in particular the businesses who took the time to enter.
"The Cessnock Chamber of Commerce thanks everyone for their involvement and congratulates all nominees, winners and runners up."
The awards were held at Cessnock Leagues Club on October 18, 2019.
More than 200 people gathered together to enjoy a star studded Arabian Nights-themed gala dinner and what has rapidly become one of the biggest nights on the community calendar.
The 2019 awards were proudly sponsored by Cessnock Chamber of Commerce, Cessnock Leagues Club, Cessnock City Council, the Cessnock Advertiser, Cessnock Print Place, Newcastle Permanent, Matthew Evans Podiatry and Sports Services and Balloon Worx.
