Remembrance Day services will be held at the Cessnock War Memorial (in the TAFE grounds), Rotary Park Kurri Kurri, Weston's memorial park (including a flypast by the RAAF's No 76 Squadron at 10.55am) and the Greta rotunda (a combined service with the Branxton RSL Sub-branch).
Kearsley's community service will be held at the primary school this year.
People are asked to assemble at 10.30am. A minute's silence will be observed at 11am, marking the time the guns fell silent on November 11, 1918.
The observations will follow the weekend of celebrations at the former Greta Army Camp and Migrant Camp site, which will include armoured vehicle displays, a parade, and a pop-up museum.
It will be a special week in Kurri Kurri too, with the unveiling of a restored World War I honour roll to take place at Kurri Kurri Public School on Friday, and the Maud Butler mural to be officially revealed on the library on Monday.
