The club had its licence granted on August 27, 1956, opening its doors in response to the thriving mining industry.
Bellbird Workers Club has an up-to-date gaming area and TAB facilities, as well as a big screen television with Foxtel, TVN and Sky Channel for all racing and sport, and also boasts regular entertainment with some great artists and many concerts and shows staged throughout the year.
A kids' disco is held on the first Saturday of the month at 6pm (with party bookings available), and karaoke is held on the second Saturday of the month at 7pm.
The club is a meeting place for various groups, including the Country Music Club every Wednesday night at 7pm, and the Auto Restorers Club every third Tuesday at 6.30pm.
Snooker and darts competitions are also held weekly, along with bingo and meat raffles.
The D'Garden Restaurant has a great reputation as one of the best Chinese restaurants in town, open Tuesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner and takeaway meals.
The club also is heavily involved in sponsorship of local sporting and community groups.
