The aim of this feature is to introduce you to businesses you may not know we have in town, and to showcase what is on offer in Cessnock. From the CBD to West End and surrounding areas we have a broad range of products and services on offer right here in town.
In the lead up to Christmas we are urging locals to where possible make the choice to support local jobs, local businesses and local families by shopping local. We have a great variety of businesses within our region, and the CBD is again filling up with businesses moving, expanding or opening.
If you haven't been for a walk down Vincent Street recently, I would urge you to do so, the shop windows are starting to fill up with Christmas decorations and we will soon be asking businesses to add some Christmas lights to their display to create a nice atmosphere to take a stroll up the street.
The Chamber is constantly working on ways to support businesses and one of those initiatives is the Support Cessnock movement. We encourage all locals to head to Facebook and search for Support Cessnock where our local businesses are advertising what they have available, you never know what you will find!
For the Chamber we are ramping up at the moment for Stomp 2020, it is almost a year-round planning event for us, in 2020 it will be our fifth festival. Our team is always on hand to help businesses tap into the crowds that we attract to the event. We have some events planned for early 2020 to help businesses get on board and make the most of the 15,000 visitors we attract to town each year.
The Postie Bike GP was another huge success for our town, a big congratulations to the organisers, and thank you to the locals for getting out and supporting it again. It is great to see that event go from strength to strength and bring so many people to town.
