Protests against their charges outside the Melbourne Magistrate's Court have been organised for 9am on Monday.

Of those arrested after blocking CBD streets and gluing themselves to the road, up to 39 have been ordered to make appearances on Monday.

"We will literally be outside the court for every single case that we have," mining conference protest spokesperson Apsara Sabaratnam said.

"No one should face that level of brutality this people suffered, so we are protesting police brutality and want to stand in solidarity with those arrested."

Protest organisers have staged a crowdfunding campaign to help pay for the group's court-related bills that had raised over $30,000 by Sunday evening.

A petition calling on Premier Daniel Andrews to allow a commission to investigate the alleged heavy handed tactics by police has reached 532 signatures.

Mr Andrews has accused activists of "testing the limits" of their right to protest.

Police reported officers suffered dislocated bones and head and other injuries, while at least one police horse was assaulted.

The protesters face charges ranging from trespassing to endangering life, obstruction of an emergency service worker and obstruction of roadways.
