Cessnock City U3A will hold a round table discussion at North End Hall on Thursday, December 5, tackling the timely topic "Is it OK to talk about climate change while we're busy fighting fires?".

"We have ex-teachers and heads, retired cattle growers and viticulturists, ex-publicans and media representatives - a wide ranging level of experience across many years and conditions," branch president John Cormack said.

"We extend a cordial invitation to our community friends at government levels, the media and business organisations, to join us and sit with us and contribute to what could be a lively debate.

"There is no head table. All opinions will be canvassed and vigorously protected."

The event will start at 2pm. The hall is located in Church Street, Cessnock.
