South Australian teachers are set to get pay increases and the Liberal government will tip in more funds to help students with complex needs in a likely settlement to a long-running pay and conditions dispute.

Treasurer Rob Lucas says the Australian Education Union has endorsed the government's latest enterprise agreement offer that will now go to a ballot of members.
It includes 2.35 per cent pay hikes in each of the next three years while the government will increase the complexity allowance funding for schools from $12 million to $15 million.
"This is a positive step forward and the government is hopeful it will lead to a sensible resolution of our enterprise bargaining negotiations, which gives exceptionally fair and reasonable salary increases and also provides greater assistance and support to teachers in the classroom," Mr Lucas said.
"We urge members to support the offer."
The enterprise agreement also includes enhanced incentives to attract and retain teachers in country schools, more certainty for part-time teachers and a reduction of face-to-facing teaching time for principals and teachers in stand alone pre-schools.
New positions will also be created for highly-accomplished and lead teachers.
