The Goannas have three clashes against the Pickers and Kurri Kurri in 2020 in what should be a financial windfall for the club.
The Bulldogs also have three games against South Newcatle (two away, one home), while the Pickers play Macquarie Scorpions three times (two home, one away).
The Bulldogs open their season at home against reigning premiers Western Suburbs.
Round 2, over the Anzac weekend, will include a replay of the 2019 grand final between Western Suburbs and Cessnock.
New Maitland Pickers coach Matt Lantry will take on his former club, Western Suburbs for the first time in Round 8 (June 14) at the Maitland Sportsground in what promises to be a mouth watering clash especially with several players following Lantry from the Rosellas to the Pickers.
The Pickers first home game is in round two against Central Newcastle.
Maitland's games against Cessnock come in round one (Cessnock), round seven (Maitland) and round 12 (Cessnock).
The Pickers are away to Kurri Kurri in round five and host them in round 14, a relief given the Bulldogs' recent history of throwing Maitland's finals plans into disarray with final round upsets.
The Bulldogs host Cessnock in rounds four and 10, with the Goannas at home against Kurri in the final round.
The Pickers and Bulldogs both have four Sunday away games, while the Goannas have just two. All the Coalfields home games are on Saturdays.
No less than five clubs welcome new coaches for the 2020 season.
Apart from Lantry's move to Maitland four other coaches take on new roles as first grade coaches in the 2020 season.
Steve Kidd takes the reins at the Macquarie Scorpions, Rob Payne moves into the hot seat at Lakes United, Mitch Cullen will Captain-Coach Kurri Kurri and former Newcastle Knight, Todd Lowrie is the new mentor at Western Suburbs.
"With a number of new coach appointments and some astute player recruitment the 2020 season is shaping as another competitive and unpredictable season - great news for Newcastle Rugby League, the clubs and their supporters," Newcastle Rugby League CEO Matt Harris said
After a successful campaign in 2019, the Newcastle Rebels will again take on a Ron Massey representative team on May 16. From that match a NSWRL Pioneers team will be chosen to play the Queensland Rangers on the weekend of June 20-21.
The Newcastle Rugby League representative program will again include Academy (under 19s) and Ladies Blues Tag teams that will see them play on the designated representative weekends.
The fourth annual Newcastle All Stars v Indigenous All Stars match is on March 21.
