In what has become an annual tradition, Beyond Church will once again present its Christmas production - a free community event, with performances on Sunday, December 22 at 9.30am and Christmas Eve at 5pm.
This year's production, entitled Ready Or Not, is an enjoyable mix of traditional carols, modern songs and an original comedic drama, all interwoven with an inspirational message that will point people to the true joy of Christmas.
Beyond Church pastor Rachel Main said the play is creative and compelling as it examines the challenges we face in making sense of the Christmas story in our fast paced modern world.
The production includes performers from the church's Creative Academy, band and kids' team, who have been rehearsing since the beginning of Term Four.
Church volunteers have been busy with many support activities, including decorating the Front Room community space with stage curtains made of lights, keeping with the production theme.
Pastor Main said everyone is excited that it's almost showtime. "Christmas is one of our biggest and most fun celebrations of the year," she said.
Beyond Church can be found at 169 Vincent Street, Cessnock.
