Students who score Band 6 or E4 results (90 percent or higher) in a subject earn a place on the Distinguished Achievers list, which included 17,123 names this year.
Chloe Bain achieved three Band 6 results across agriculture, modern history and textiles and design; Rachel Amos scored Band 6 marks in retail services (the fifth highest mark in the state) and standard maths.
Ryan Stace (engineering studies), Lillian Taylor (mathematics standard 2), Lucy Donn (PDHPE) and Elliott Peden (music) rounded out Mount View High's mentions on the honour roll.
Ryan - who also scored 80 percent in maths extension 2 - earned an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of 93.25 and has been offered a placement into a combined degree of mechatronics engineering and mathematics at the University of Newcastle through the Schools Recommendation Scheme.
He said getting into this degree was a "dream come true", as it was his goal for the majority of high school.
"The school offered many opportunities once I was able to show my enthusiasm for learning and motivation in striving to achieve the best results I could," he said.
"The opportunities I was presented with included the introduction of a new Extension Science course, an accelerated maths program allowing me to complete mathematics and extension 1 in year 11, leading to the eventual opportunity of complete extension 2 mathematics which hadn't previously ran for several years.
"These opportunities and the encouragement I received from my teachers led me to receiving a partial scholarship from the University of Newcastle."
Chloe achieved an ATAR of 91.2, and plans to study nursing at the University of Newcastle, specialising in midwifery.
She said her HSC highlight was having her major work for textiles and design selected for display as an exemplary work in Sydney.
Rachel's ATAR was 85.75, and she said receiving two Band 6 results was the highlight of her HSC year.
Rachel has been accepted into a Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Law at the University of Newcastle via Schools Recommendation Scheme, through which students receive an offer based on their school results.
Mount View High relieving principal Shane Hookway said it was another outstanding year for the school.
"The 2019 HSC results can be credited to exemplary quality teaching by our dedicated staff, the wonderful supports we employ as part of our HSC strategy, and most importantly to our amazing hard working students," Mr Hookway said.
St Philip's Christian College Cessnock had two students on the Distinguished Achievers list - Alicia Carroll (visual arts and advanced English) and Isabella Mather-Glauser (visual arts); while Jack Benic from Kurri Kurri High School also made the honour roll with a band six in advanced English.
