The trivia night will be held at Cessnock Leagues Club on Friday, February 21, with proceeds from the night to be donated to the RFS brigades of the Cessnock local government area.
Cessnock Chamber of Commerce president Clint Ekert said the chamber is excited to be able to support the RFS while launching an event that supports local businesses.
"The RFS have provided event support for the last couple of years so it was a logical partnership, especially with the tireless work these men and women have been carrying out for the last few months, protecting our community, our homes and our lives," he said.
"The Cessnock Stomp Festival is a flagship event to showcase our local businesses and community, and I am so proud to be able to launch it while supporting some of our community heroes."
Doors will open at 6pm and trivia will start at 6.30pm.
Tickets are $15 per person and include a platter of hot food per table, with a maximum of 10 people per table, and can be bought at cessnockchamber.com.au.
The Stomp festival itself is less than three months away - mark Sunday, April 5 on your calendar for what's sure to be another fantastic day.
Now in its fifth year, Stomp is expected to attract up to 15,000 people to Cessnock's main street for a day of wine tasting, eating, shopping and of course, grape stomping.
Vincent Street will be transformed into a food and wine lover's paradise, with more than 30 wineries, breweries and distilleries on show, along with some of the Hunter's top restaurants.
The little ones are catered for with plenty of rides, games, activities and entertainment throughout the day.
Festival entry is free, with tickets for grape stomping (including the Business Stomp competition) and Stomp tasting glasses now available on the festival website.
The festival will run from 10am to 4pm. For more information (including stallholder inquiries), visit cessnockstomp.com.
