Early Links' Big Yellow Bus will visit RFBI Cessnock Masonic Village on Wednesday for an intergenerational playgroup. Families with children aged zero to six years are welcome to attend and interact with the residents.

The Heart of Stories Tour will visit Kurri Kurri and Cessnock this week. The panel discussion features authors Adele Parks, Fiona Lowe, Alexandra Joel and Vanessa McCausland. Topics include talking about the rise of women-centred fiction from historical, domestic noir to contemporary genres and their own works.

The Aussie Night Markets will return to Cessnock Showground this Friday and Saturday, with more than 30 food trucks and stalls, boutique local and regional retail vendors, kids' rides and live music. Gold coin entry.

Cessnock City Council, in conjunction with the Samaritants, present The Grand Summer Splash - a free pool party for grandparents and their grandchildren - at Cessnock Pool on Saturday as part of the Cessnock City Seniors Festival. FUNDRAISER FOR MILLFIELD RFS

A fundraiser for the Millfield Rural Fire Brigade will be held at Paxton Bowling Club on Sunday afternoon, with raffles, an auction, barefoot bowls from 3pm and entertainment by Get What You're Given and Tim Usher from 4pm.
