Wrestling and boxing will be held on the Friday night, a woodchop has been included on the Saturday afternoon, and a reptile show is sure to be a drawcard.
Suplex Professional Wrestling - which holds regular bouts at East Cessnock Bowling Club - is excited to be part of the show.
The card includes Cessnock's very own Matt "Muzzdogg" Musgrove and Daniel "Bubbles" Zysek, and Greta's Beau "The Tradie" Thomas, who all said they are looking forward to the local show.
Musgrove will face off against Suplex founder James "Jackson Spade" Mitchell for the Suplex Heavyweight Championship, and the show will also feature a 10-man "battle royal".
The Cessnock Show will kick off at 8.30am both days, with ring events and horse judging.
An invitational cut-out will be held in the ring on Friday night, followed by mini-trotter and motorbike displays.
Saturday afternoon's program includes sheep shearing and sheep dog demonstrations, motorcycles and mini-trotters, and concludes with the popular demolition derby and fireworks.
Poultry displays, a puppet show, and rides and amusements will keep the whole family entertained.
Tickets are $10 adults, $5 kids (5-16)/pension/concession, free for children under five, and $25 for a family pass.
The showground is located at 111 Mount View Road.
