Wild Learning creative facilitator Emmie Hallett said the idea for the meeting has come from a few discussions about the need for place-making in Cessnock.
"With a changing digital commercial world, the closure of the gallery and less opportunities for people to connect and participate in the arts locally, now is a good time to talk about what we want and need to keep arts flourishing here in Cessnock," she said.
"There is a hunger in the community for more opportunities for local creative work to be made, shared and celebrated in innovative ways."
Ms Hallett said the meeting will be a facilitated conversation where everyone will have the opportunity to contribute ideas and suggestions.
Wild Learning is located at 111 Wollombi Road (in the former West Cessnock Community Hall).
The meeting will start at 5.30pm and refreshments will be provided. RSVP to Emmie on 0412 835 865 or email info@wildlearning.com.au for more information.
