A number of upcoming events at Cessnock Performing Arts Centre have been postponed or cancelled due to the coronavirus crowd bans.

Comedian Ross Noble - who was due to perform at CPAC this Friday night - has postponed the remainder of his Australian tour until later in the year, with a new Cessnock date to be announced soon.

Tim Costello's author talk on April 4 - which was part of the Newcastle Writers Festival - has been cancelled.

Psychic medium Mitchell Coombes has rescheduled his April 17 show to August 1.

In a statement on its Facebook page on Monday afternoon, Cessnock Performing Arts Centre said the health and safety of patrons, performers, volunteers and staff is its "greatest priority" (see the full post below).

For the shows that have already been cancelled or postponed, box office staff are endeavouring to contact all ticket holders to arrange refunds or exchanges.
