Council's general manager Lotta Jackson said the new website will make it easier for customers to conduct their business and locate information.
"It's a user-friendly site that will enable the community to find what they are looking for," she said.
"We know many of our customers want to be able to locate information online and conduct their business without the need to pick up the phone."
The website has a streamlined modern design, improved functionality for seeking community feedback, compatibility with mobile devices and an eServices component for completing a range of transactions online.
Council's customer relations manager, Roslyn Ashton is looking forward to the launch.
"Our team is excited to be able to offer support via an online chat service. This new online service will start shortly after the launch of the new site," she said.
"It's great to be able to diversify our service and have a website that is purpose-built for the customer."
