Competing under the name Miss Laura Jean, the Cessnock woman was named Miss Auto Spectacular 2020 at the pinup pageant held in Kempsey on March 8.
The pageant was held as part of the Macleay Auto Spectacular, and contestants had to dress in the '50s garage scene style - think 'Rosie the Riveter'.
Kimberley Emery (aka Miss Kimmy Lou), also of Cessnock, was the runner-up.
It was the first time Laura has won a pinup pageant, after taking out the people's choice award in the 2019 Pinup Doll Australia competition (receiving the most online votes).
Laura says she likes the pinup culture because "it's really supportive for women of all shapes and sizes".
The 2020 Pinup Doll Australia All-Stars event was set to be held at the Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival this weekend, but has moved online after the festival was cancelled due to coronavirus protection measures.
