The Zoom hook-up on Wednesday morning will look at local jobs and infrastructure projects, and how they will be the key to kick-starting the Paterson economy.
Ms Swanson will host the one hour virtual meeting, where she will be joined by Brendan O'Connor, the Shadow Minister for Employment, Industry, Science and Small Business for the first 30 minutes.
After that Catherine King, the Shadow Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development will join her.
"It will all be fairly informal and people can go to Meryl's website and get the details of how they can join," Ms Swanson's media representative Megan Jones said.
"There will be a chat function on the hook-up, so people aren't locked out of the conversation. If they have a question they can write it down, we'll monitor the questions, and then hand over to them to ask the question.
"It's the Town Hall meeting you have when people don't have to leave their own homes."
For some time the Member for Paterson has said that major infrastructure projects will play a key role in kick-starting the local economy.
"With no certainty over the future of Jobkeeper and Jobseeker payments, there's a lot of uncertainty out there," Ms Jones said.
"Meryl believes key infrastructure projects where they employ local people, is really important.
"She has said many times projects like the upgrade of Newcastle Airport, the Richmond Vale Rail Trail and upgrade work on the M1 can make a significant difference during these uncertain times."
The Virtual Town Hall will run from 10.30am until 11.30am. Details on how to join are available at merylswanson.com.au or ring her office on 4983 2401.
