Cessnock Hospitality Group CEO Paul Cousins said members have adjusted well to the new conditions of entry at the group's three venues (Cessnock Leagues Club, Vincent Street Kitchen and Bar and Paxton Bowling Club).
"They have been really willing to adapt; very supportive and understanding," he said.
"We have trained our staff up, and they are diligent in their duty.
"It's great to be back and to be able to look after people again."
Most of the hospitality group's 80-plus staff were stood down on March 23 when the Federal Government closed clubs, pubs and restaurants in an effort to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Mr Cousins said the staff are happy and keen to be back at work, but the group would have been in "real trouble" without Jobkeeper.
The Leagues Club is trading seven days a week; Paxton Bowling Club is open Thursday to Sunday, and Vincent Street is open Wednesday to Saturday, with Sunday trading (breakfast and lunch) to resume August 9.
The kids' playground reopens at the Leagues Club on Wednesday; social and championship bowls is back at Paxton, and live music resumes at the three venues this weekend.
