I would like to see the roads in the CBD resurfaced, that is North, West and South Avenues. Major arterial roads such as Mount View Road should be resurfaced.
Government Road at Weston is a disgrace considering the amount of traffic using it to access the Hunter Expressway.
I frequently use Old Maitland Road to Rutherford and it is easy to tell where the Cessnock Council section ends and the Maitland one starts. Our part is a patch-work and filled in pot-holes and there is no white line down the edge, which makes for difficult driving at night.
Orange Street at Abermain carries a lot of traffic and will carry much more when Gingers Lane is reopened.
Finally Penniment Street where it meets Comerford Close at Aberdare is a disgrace, it just a series of filled in pot-holes. The worst section is only a hundred metres long.
