Formerly Jazz in the Vineyards, the event was renamed after Hope's sister venue, Tower Distillery and Winery, was announced as the major partner for the jazz festival.
Set on the rolling lawns of Hope Estate's amphitheatre, the festival will include G&T tasting, gin masterclasses, wine tasting, craft beer, food, markets and a kids' zone, all to the sound of lively big band jazz tunes.
Hope Estate owner Michael Hope said the new festival is going to be a a lot of fun.
"We're upping the game for Jazz in the Vineyards and I think it's a great opportunity to showcase the first gins Tower Distillery and Winery will be launching," he said.
"We've been overwhelmed by the positive feedback on the announcement of the event name change to the Hunter Valley Gin and Jazz Festival and we're excited to get back to holding events."
After a run of unlucky postponements due to an artist scheduling clash and then the COVID-19 pandemic, Hope Estate are hopeful that the April 2021 date will go ahead.

While original headline act Kate Ceberano won't be able to attend on the new date, Hope Estate has advised that a new Australian performer will be announced in the lead-up to the festival.
The balance of the previously-announced lineup - including John Morrison's Swing City Band featuring Jacki Cooper, The Aston Martinis and The Djangologists - are still set to perform.
Those who hold tickets to previous dates will have five G&T tasting tokens and one wine tasting token per adult added to their inclusions.
The festival will run from 11am to 6pm. Tickets are now on sale at hopeestate.com.au.
